Today, we celebrate the founding of our nation, a bold declaration of freedom, democracy, and the belief that people should have a voice in their future. These values are not just part of our history, they are our responsibility to uphold.

Here in Pembroke Pines, I see those values in action every day. I see neighbors looking out for one another, families building better lives, and a community that believes in fairness, dignity, and opportunity for all.

As we celebrate our democracy today, let’s remember how we each play a role in keeping it strong right here at home. When you engage, stay informed, and vote in local elections, you help shape a community that reflects your values. From the safety of our streets to the strength of our schools, the decisions we make at a municipal level matter deeply.
