Housing, Safety & Honoring Heroes in Pines
At our most recent City Commission meeting, we addressed a number of important issues that directly impact the safety, affordability, and quality of life in Pembroke Pines.
We began by honoring four residents whose quick action saved the lives of four plane crash victims last month. Recognizing their bravery was a reminder of the incredible people who make our city strong.

As we begin the most active part of hurricane season, it’s important that we continue our proactive approach to protect our community from the threat of storms and flooding.
Our city’s highest point is only seven feet above sea level, making us highly vulnerable to storm surge and heavy rainfall. Even a typical summer downpour can overwhelm storm drains when debris is left unchecked.
