Neighbors,
Last week, our City Commission held its first Commission Meeting of 2026, and we advanced several important items focused on maintaining our public facilities, supporting seniors, and continuing to invest responsibly in Pembroke Pines.
We approved $578,000 in citywide roof replacements for school facilities and municipal buildings. These are necessary, preventative investments that protect our classrooms, public spaces, and taxpayer dollars by addressing issues before they become larger and more costly problems.
We also approved agreements related to our city’s Southwest Focal Point Community Center, which provide essential adult day care and senior services to residents. These centers partner closely with the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County and rely on approximately $500,000 in grant funding to deliver programs that help seniors stay active, connected, and supported.
You can learn more about the services available to seniors and families here:
Finally, I’m excited to share updates on the We Love Pembroke Pines Foundation, a nonprofit supported by the City Commission that focuses on building community through events and engagement. The foundation will be hosting fun, family-friendly activities throughout the year — including a golf tournament this March!

As your Vice Mayor, I remain committed to thoughtful investments that strengthen our schools, support our seniors, and protect the quality of life that makes Pembroke Pines such a special place to call home.
