As the Vice Mayor and District 4 Commissioner, I am very encouraged with this potential $1 billion investment in the Grand Palms community. While no formal redevelopment application has been submitted to our city as of today, I have held preliminary meetings with the developer and am closely monitoring the proposal's progress.

This is a game-changing opportunity to revitalize the area—with modern hotel upgrades, new amenities, and significant infrastructure improvements such as better roads to address traffic flow, a renovated guardhouse, and a reworked world-class golf course, all funded by the developer, not the HOA.

But excitement must be matched with responsibility. I remain committed to ensuring that Grand Palms residents and the surrounding community are fully heard throughout this process. Any development of this scale must be guided by community input, transparency, and a vision that respects the character of the neighborhood.

I look forward to continuing this dialogue and will keep residents informed every step of the way.
